mum decided she we should clip the girls tonight, we got Gypsy over and done with and i bathed her while mum cut Inca then i bathed her. when i had her in the bath i found a tick right above her eye Shocked to me it looked huge but mum said is was an ok size compared to some she has seen. so i got to try out our tick twister.
im shocked that i hadn't noticed it till now, the girls haven't been to Croy for a good while so it has either been from the glen or possibly the wooded part of the power walk on wed so it might be a good idea to check your dogs if you were on the long wed power walk.

i think i got overly panicky about it as i have never seen one before and i felt guilty for not spotting it sooner. Embarassed

Kendal ............ Inca is black and fluffy, finding a tick on her wouldn't be easy!!!! Don't worry. Smile

We found one on Murphy a couple of months ago and it was really big - we'd obviously not seen it for a while. But the tick twister got it out and that was that.

Far easier to use a tick twister or similar.......we used to use nail polish remover to knock the tick out then tweezers but the danger is that the 'head' will not come out clean and lead to infection.

KENDAL! I'm so disappointed in you.... I thought you would have filmed said tick removal, or at the very least taken a photo of it for us!

(I'm serious btw!)

Linsey, I was opening this thread with dread - I was certain there was going to be a big close up of a tick Shocked
