Lucky you! Cuthbert thought it was a very nice treat thank you and please could he have some more?! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
I'm still looking for the ultimate chew deterrent. By the way I have a whole , I think unused or nearly unused bottle of the Bitter Apple if anyone wants it!

I've tried Tabasco sauce, vinegar, soap, vapo rub, nearly every brand of anti chew spray on the market, clove oil, garlic, curry,, bitter apple and umpteen other things which have been reccomended. They all work initially then very quickly he starts to actually enjoy the taste Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes . Thankfully he hasn't been ripping the furniture for a while but I still have to be careful not to leave anything too chewable lying around where he can get at them.
Note to self: Always make sure doors are shut behind you as you cannot afford to keep replacing shoes!
I might try your suggestion though Janis. Thanks.

The way to get bitter apple to work is not somply to spray it on things......spray it directly into the dogs mouth or soak a cotton wool ball in it and put it in the dogs mouth........you need to create a real aversion to the taste/smell of it........

I did that too! All I can do now is wait for maturity to help even further. We ARE getting there though and he doesn't chew nearly as much as he did thankfully!
