Sheryl, all my 3 have sensitive tummies to varying degrees so I have been cautious about switching over (having found food that suits them ALL so well I'm reluctant to change) - I was going to try them when I was on my hols in September so I would be at home to let them out if it turned into squit city but a family bereavement put paid to that plan.
I tried bones - ALL had the runs for 2 days - Ella (attention seeker that she is) had the runs for 5 days and was throwing up too for the first 2. they hadn't been out for a few days so couldn't have picked anything up from outside the home the ONLY thing it could have been caused by was the bones (that plus I found splinters of the bones in their poop and sick - sorry to be graphic) so I've put off trying them again so far - until I can be with them to monitor properly. That plus the space we would need having 3 to feed on it.
So what happened to your 2 when you tried it? _________________ Staffies are my life! Visit us at www.staffies.co.uk |

I have been thinking about feeding raw for a few weeks now... have done a bit of reading up
and think I will change over as soon as I get organized...
From what I have read on this forum everyone is very positive about it... |

You just have to find what works for your dogs..
When I first looked into starting Scottish Landywoods delivery's 3 years ago..I started off by collecting a delivery from Peterborough to see what my dog would cope with and enjoy.,. Luckily he loved everything although I didn't give him much bone..
The two I have now vary in their food.. Lola can cope with lots of bone and fat but Cruiser won't cope with either of the two.. his bone content has to be just right and he won't tolerate too much fat either( usually the breast of lamb)..
Lola will eat any minced foods but Cruiser prefers chicken or turkey...the lamb is too rich to give them more than once or twice a week..
If you intend to feed raw.. read as much as you can about it..(I still have people phone up for delivery and ask how you cook it!!!!!!I refuse point blank to take orders from these people!!)
Then either.. introduce it slowly, one meat at a time..so you can eliminate what if anything your dog doens't like..or anything that causes runny tums etc.. try not to feed raw with kibble unless its at different times of the day.. (so kibble for brekkie and raw for tea) _________________

I think you have to feed your dog on whatever you feel your dog does best on, there is no right or wrong answer. |

Well it was bones and mince that I tried my two on... and I got the same as yourself...
I couldnt put raw chicken in their bowls it gave the the boke!!!!!!!
So not they just get cooked meats every now and again!
Other than that it was Burns! But they seem to like it! And there healthy! So...kinda sticking with that just now!

Got to give our Ben Eukanuba pellets
anything else makes him scratch and more importantly do a dance of the flaming arseholes
