And that boisterous pointer of ours is barred from getting off the lead till he can learn to behave so she'll be safe from him! |

Suzanne,
you need to come up on a group walk with us.
Otto is a large puppy who is full of energy by the sounds of things........I'd like to see him get to run with some larger dogs
Please don't confuse your puppies exuberance with bad behavior.....they are not the same thing. If he is full of pent up energy he will appear to be 'hyper' unless he is able to release this energy.
I'm sure he will love it. _________________ John Thomson

I am nervous but excited about going tonight, just hope my boys behave, was nearly not going as Stuart was up all night with toothache, dentist tried to take his tooth out but we had to admit defeat as he was to anxious Its a wee shame he doesn't really eat sweeties or drink fizzy juice and his teeth are needing out. |

Otto was the star pupil at puppy school, you guys have worked soooo hard with him this week - recall was good, and his sit stay was perfect
not getting off was nothing to do with bad behaviour (far from it), it was simply because we were focusing on his recall and didn't want to set him up to fail

Margaret
I really felt for you guys last night - going training without a puppy is not much fun, but as you say Keira will be joining us next week - looking forward to it
I will be funny having 2 Keira's in the same class
Keira is a star with her roll overs, sits, down and stand - she's doing really well, keep up the good work
See you next week

John, he absolutely loves to run with big dogs - he's not scared of them and even when they do put him his place, he takes it on the chin. Just need to get our backsides over there as its what he needs.
What's good about the puppy class is it's broken down into different areas and Eleanor is great at giving advice if there are bits that need more work to stick.
But he's exactly what it said on the tin and why we chose that breed - full of beans and mischief but essentially wants to please. We've been careful not to over exercise him yet, but as he's so big, he probably needs a bit more. |

Suzanne, the usual walk we don isn't too much for a dog like Otto. We wander around the path fairly slowly and it only takes us 45 mins max. It's a leisurely stroll and all the dogs run around and use up way more energy than we do |
