News from the oh I swore house.
Well. After boasting today that Basil's ear had finally healed.
It has started bleeding again. Rather than pay £198 to have VetsNow bandage it I have put a dressing on it myself. I have used a dressing designed to deal with heavy bleeding so I hope it works.
OMG I hope it heals properly this time. It id obviously painful and he is getting grumpy.
So unlike him...

Thanks guys.
He has had a good run along the beach today with Poppy - and the dressing is OK. Bleeding seems to have stopped again - I hope.
It can't be stitched and cauterizing just gives him a scab to shake off so vet won't do it. He is now sleeping on his sofa with Poppy, who has stopped licking the beeping ear.
I hope we can all relax a bit now.

Thank you, Lynn. We are fine. Just need to keep a constant eye on Poppy to stop her licking the beep ear. Rolling Eyes
She had his dressing off again this morning. It has stopped bleeding again. So hopeful once again.
Basil is becoming more grumpy by the minute...

Oh Lorna, your 2 have really been through the mill this last wee while!

Hows Poppy's tail?

Hope they both heal soon.

Licks and slobbers from Hektor Smile

Hi Lisa. Poppy's tail is healed. Geoff Appleton, the Dane vet, says it is not necessary to remove her tail as the Lawrie vet wanted to.
Basil's ear would heal if the wee beep Poppy would stop licking it!
Thanks for your kind words.
How is Hek and his wee sister?

Glad her tail is better at last Smile

Hek and Millie are great! Millie keeps hanging of all the bits of Hektor she can reach, the big lug just lets her... never dreamed he would be so gentle Smile

Millie has started doing mini zoomies round the living room, I fear for my furniture (and walls!) when they both do it at the same time!

Very glad Poppy's tail is better and Lisa well didn't you say you wanted more space? Hek and Millie seem only too willing to help you extend. Laughing

Lisa - I DID warn you that Staffs don't "do" calm didn't I??? It CAN drive you demented on occassion but the vast majority of the time you spend almost crying with laughter at their antics and sheer adorableness - getting broody here now!!!! Wink
