Just a heads up that the environmental wardens are hitting people who do not pick up after their dog with fines in Cumbernauld............

I have no problems with that - there are some dog owners who literally dont give a s*it ! A lot of us have kids and there is nothing worse than them getting it on their shoes or clothes - let them fine away , our consciences are clear - just a pity they wont put the money to help fund more pooh bins !

I just assume it's part of having a dog....but the number of people near me who let their dogs poo on pavement or grassy areas where loads of kids play and don't pick it up is amazing. Got to agree tho, def a lack of bins around. Take the glen for example, there's only bins at the fields so if they expect u to pick up after dog u would have to carry it around for half an hr!!! |

I was in the library the other day and asked for a packet of poo bags (they're meant to be free, just as well - one of Hektors deposits sometimes takes 3 bags!)
The librarian said she had phoned the Council to ask for more because they had run out, and she was told that they probably wouldnt be supplying them free anymore!!! She was going to call back and ask again.
Great

Tried that...unfortunately they are not as thick or robust as the poo bags...good way to stop biting your nails tho....

I still don't think people would bother if there was more bins around. We have lots of bins on all the walks in tillicoultry. The wardens are also everywhere all the time. This still does not seem to deter some people. I have stopped people and asked if they are going to pick it up. They have no shame and just say no. It makes me so angry. I have lost count of how many times i have to clean Yoda's paws when she comes in because of other dogs poos. |
