Hi,
I was wondering what is best for puppy training-a collar or a harness? So far we've been walking our pup on a harness but my cousin recently advised against it having been told that her boxer pup would put unnecessary strain on his chest muscles by using one. Any opinions?

defiantely a collar....the harness encourages any dog to pull. if you think about huskies they were harnesses for the purpose of pulling sledges!
a flat collar will be fine for dexter....looking forward to meeting you all! _________________ Cockapoo's...a little of this, a little of that..........
the perfect combination!
im not a fan of harnesses as they give the dog a bit more pulling power, i mean huskys have they to help the pull a sled, a flat collar or half check should do. _________________ microchiping and grooming www.chipnclip.co.uk
A flat collar is ideal. One problem with a harness is that you have no control of the dogs head which can make it difficult to keep your puppies attention in a room with other puppies in it.
