I totally agree janis!!! Not that u don't want people to have fun but my cousins wee boy got hit on head by a firework or a bit of one at a home display and he was only a wee thing in a buggy at the time. Thankfully only had a small mark on his head after and nothing too bad but could have been so much worse!!
If it was only the big displays it wouldn't be so bad but for the dogs that r scared it lasts for well over a week!!!
rant over......as you can tell i don't like them other than in displays!
A friend of Paulines lives facing Glasgow Green............had to move out for the weekend to avoid the dog going nuts!
I was working in Buchanan Street in Glasgow on Friday evening when the display was on.........it was REALLY loud and that was from the other end of town.
I took Fergus out this afternoon and let him have access to garden. No outdoor walk tonight . Just too noisy. It's Fergus's first bonfire night with us took absolutely no notice . Once he's in for the night tho' he hates to be disturbed for his 10pm 'relief' !
Upstairs to sleep (another story!) and snoring . Obviously feeling relaxed!. _________________ Thought I lived in ahouse now it's a menagerie of animals first and humans if I remember!.
