Sheila has been put on steroids among other things to try and reduce the swelling and seizures, just a real waiting game now. hopefully she will pull through Confused

Hope Sheila pulls though.

We have to do what is best for the dogs though, and not what is best for us. They should have a good quality of life and i'm sure you'll do the right thing if she doesn't get any better. Part of taking care of our pets is letting them go when the time comes, it's never easy at the time, but does get easier. Take care. Smile

I am finding it so hard with her, but things just seem to be the same, she has no control over her bladder now so we have had to use incontinence pads, she is going from a being hyper to hardly moving at all. Kiera is like a cat on hot bricks and keeps whining and barking when not around her. Think we just need to think whats best for her but its that thing like what if she does come round. hopefully today is a sleepy day as I am not sleeping at all when she is hyper.

Just to update Sheila has passed away this morning, She took another fit at the vets and it was for the best that we let her go to rest rather than keep on suffering. Will miss her loads She was my shadow and my best pal. Rest in peace sweetheart.

Margaret, we were so sorry to hear the news. It's just sad that our four legged family members can't live as long as we would wish.

cheers for the kind words folks, my son came out with a great thought tonight that Sheila would be with my gran as she always wanted a dog. So that made me feel better.
