This afternoon we had a walk up the hills at the back of Greenock. The start of the walk is a 10 minute walk from our house.

We walked around 9 miles, it took us around 3 hours and 40 minutes - around the time is usually takes, although you can do a shorter walk or carry on to Cornalees, which would be a couple of hours more walking. It's not a steep walk, the steepest part is at the very bottom and once you pass that you're on a roll!

The weather was dry, quite bright and not windy, we really enjoyed the walk.

Here are some photos.....

Our house is somewhere in amongst the white houses with the grey roofs, beside the tree to the left of the picture. This is the start of the hills....

On our way up...

Hope you like the photos.

It's a great walk, John, my two love it up there.

Molly and Roxy couldn't resist the water either! Very Happy

You don't even have to take water with you as they have a drink in the dams! Laughing

exactly what I was about to say.

We did a fab walk today too.Up Barrhill then along the canal for a couple of miles to Dullatur and then up and over Croy hill too. A good 7 miles or thereabouts. I'm feeling a tad tired tonight!
But don't the dogs just LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe that's why they're not too fussed about the fireworks! Smile

Looks like you have plenty good walks around you too Nicola.
Maybe we should head to Greenock one saturday for you to lead us around a new walk! Very Happy

Molly and Roxy never seem to tire on walks. The never lay down once. Rolling Eyes And Molly is quite a sedate dog too, although she misses b!gger all! Rolling Eyes Laughing

You should all come down one day. I'd be happy to do this walk with you all.

I could meet you all at the new Tesco Extra in Port Glasgow, and you could follow us up to the start of the walk from there. It's about a ten minute drive up the hill.

From the start of the walk, it's about 3 hours to Cornalees where there are loos and a heritage centre - we could take food with us and have it there, there are picnic benches, then walk back through the hills again. It isn't a difficult walk and it's very enjoyable, and I would like my dogs to meet new doggie friends. Very Happy
