John cant get in to this, will do it later on laptop.

Did anyone ever see the documentary 'living with wolves' - I only saw two in the series. one I watched was about the brother of the alpha male who was really the lowest of the low in the pack and the journalist was frightened to give him attention as it would lead to the pack beating him up. He followed her one day into a clearing and they spent ages together and the wolf put his paw on her shoulder and kept eye contact with her for ages, she said it was one of the most profound moments of her life, she could see the sorrow of his plight in his eyes and the need for contact, affection - I have a tear in my eye just remembering it.

This was a couple who had set up home in the middle of the wolves territory and lived with them for years, eventually all the wolves were moved as the original territory was changing hands and their safety could not be guaranteed (i think) The Alpha male's brother did, over the years, work his way up the rankings in the pack - but it was a sorry plight for the poor wolf. They went back to see the wolves and they alpha had died at around age 14. I would soooooo love to find that whole series and watch the whole thing.

Fab, unbelievable - he was actually the alpha within the pack. I wish I had seen this.

Kirsty - John has located it as a download, so hopefully he'll manage to get the full documentary. If he does we'll burn it on to a disc and you can watch it. Smile
