Otto seems to be in pain when he opens his jaw wide. I tried to open it and he yelped in pain. He's not in pain if you touch the outside of it and his teeth look ok.
He's eating and drinking and is otherwise fine. He's maybe just been overchewing, dunno.
See how he is. Any ideas? |

That's what I was thinking John, but I couldn't describe it. It's a growing thing, isn't it? _________________ "My little dog - a heartbeat at my feet" - Edith Wharton |

It maybe he just doesn't like the sensation of you opening his jaw? _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

I think I sussed it. I'd given him a slightly bigger rawhide chew which is a bit like a drug to him ie he goes off into a trance and chews it until it's finished.
I think he just overchewed - I watched him with one yesterday so think I'll just take it off him half way through and give it back the next day. |

I was just going to ask if he had been chewing at something. I think we had a few dogs in the surgery that had done similar type of thing. If it re occurs or doesn't subside in a couple of days I would get him checked out though. Good luck. |
