Fiona - give that beautiful boy a hug from me - be great if they can get to the bottom of it though and sort him out. All the very best for tomorrow - if I have to leave either of my boys at the vets or kennels I always leave them with an item of clothing, old slipper or something that smells of me. I read somewhere that it helps. Fingers crossed for Jake he'll soon be home with you all.

Sad keep us in the picture and let us know how he gets on Fiona. I'm sure he'll be just fine............ he'll take it in his stride like a typical GSD .............. that is look for major sympathy when he gets home! Wink

Crying or Very sad Poor Jake. I hope you get some good news tomorrow. Hopefully they'll find something that's easy to fix.

If it is a loose bit of cartilage there is no cause it just happens, she says sometimes parts of the cartilage doesn't fuse with the bone and through time it breaks off and causes pain in the joint. He is insured John but if he goes to a specialist then we might have to pay up front which will cause us a problem as the op will cost in the region of £3k Shocked

Fingers crossed it won't come to that, I would rather know one way or the other. I will let you know how he gets on tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip Mary Smile will send a toy away with him Smile
