Hi everyone,

Well, I'm Ashley! *waves*

Don't have a dog at the moment (sigh) but currently looking for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or a Yorkshire Terrier to join me and the other half in our new home in Cumbernauld. And when I eventually find a little bundle of joy, I will hopefully see you all at dog training.

Nice to meet you all!

Ashley.

Oh that would be lovely.

I've been reading posts on here for a wee while now, but thought it was time to stop snooping (haha) and actually introduce myself. Will definitely be looking to join the training classes, not just for the dog(s?) but also for myself. Had a family dog with the parents and I feel that we didn't 'quite' stay as strict with her as we would have liked, so I think its a case of perseverance, which I will be needing your help with to avoid me tearing my hair out.

Will let you all know if I find a little pup or rescue.... search seems never ending though Shocked

Thank you.

Hi Ashley

welcome to the forum. good luck with your puppy hunt or as you mentioned a rescue dog. There will be rescue organisations for both breeds - its always worth looking into those if you are considerding a rescue pet

Laughing Hello and welcome

Hope you find your new best friend soon. I know some breeders won't sell pups around Christmas, for very good reasons so it can be harder just now. Still we'd all be happy to see you on the walks without a dog if you'd like to put faces to some of the names on the forum Smile

Oh, so many response. Hello and thank you!

Well, to update... I am now the proud owner of a lovely bouncy healthy little ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I visited a breeder in Blairgowrie last night.... a 3 hour trip where we were lost on some deserted road... not good! You know that is when 'in-car' arguments begin haha. Anyway, I didnt want to mention visiting Blairgowrie yesterday in case it came to nothing.

She is a lovely little girl, 11 weeks old. Ruby coloured with a white strip on her nose (hence why she was the last one left, as her markings meant she wouldnt qualify for show, bless her). I asked so many questions after doing my research on the internet and was pleased with everything, so she will be joining us in 2 weeks once we are properly into our new home. The family seemed more than happy to keep her for as long as need be, and the children were even crying at the thought of me taking her away Crying or Very sad Embarassed I felt terrible.

So, there is a very happy and excited Ashley wondering around Cumbernauld just now! I look like I have a coat hanger stuffed inside my mouth Laughing

Thanks again for being so welcoming, will be seeing you all soon.
xx
