You won't know me just yet as I haven't attended puppy or dog training classes just yet. We are awaiting to hear of the arrival of our border collie puppy up in Argyll. The litter is expected sometime in the autumn/winter so I have been taking the opportunity to find appropriate classes and information on training.

I am a stay at home mum to three kids (8yrs, 6yrs & 7mths). We have three cats; Alfredo Del Greebo (12/13yrs), Rainy (2ish) and Grim who is Rainy's daughter (1yr). I live with my partner Drew.

I was born into a household with a black and white BC but she died before I was five. I was also the proud owner of a tri colour farm BC unfortunately extreme circumstances meant we had to leave him behind when me and my oldest two children moved to Scotland (I am from Yorkshire originally).

My sister is a dog groomer all the way down in Hastings and owns a German Shepherd (her breed love) and a patterdale, jack russell cross. My other friend (also down in Hastings) has a working Staffie (her breed love) and between them I learnt alot about grooming, pedigree and dog nutrition....tho I am by no means an expert.

So yeah...we are basically preparing for our new arrival

Look forward to chatting and learning and eventually when our bundle of trouble gets here...maybe even attending some classes!

Thank you for the welcome!

Her wee dog is a bit fiesty yes...tried to take on a rottweiler last week Shocked

Yes I am a little over excited....but I think its going to be December before we pick the wee fella up so I will have to exercise some patience...ouch swear word for me Embarassed

It gives me plenty of opportunity to sort ourselves out ready for the dog. I don't want our family to end up a statistic in a border collie rescue case cos we been too lazy and not done our homework!
I absolutely ADORE the breed and wouldn't want to damage either the dog or the breeds honourable reputation.

Hope you enjoy the forum and the club once your pup arrives. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. Dale and I really enjoyed Puppy School too. Life 's never dull with a BC but I'm sure you know that already!

Hello and welcome, new here myself.

I come from Argyll originally, was born and brought up on Isle of Islay before spending 10 years in Lochgilphead. Lovely area.
