was saying to the girls today. Bob managed to open the front door for him and Dodge again today and they both went chasing down the street after the postman.
I suspect I will get an asbo soon!!!!
The postman has already asked me to get an outside box, (after Dodge had a hold of his leg) which I have done. Now I will need to keep my front door locked.
At least when I yelled at them, Dodge about turned and came running up the street with his tail between his legs and an 'oh sh!t' look on his face, having suffered the very harsh consequences of biting the postman.
Bob - well he was puffed up the size of a huge michelin man, tail curled, snout concertinaed , teeth bared..... me shouting to the postman, 'its ok, he wont touch you' didn't seem to be reassuring the postie at all. I despair, I really do!!!!!
I was thinking to myself, 'at least its the big barker, the silent assassin is on his back up the street - whew!'
These dogs are really aging me - roll on Sunday training classes |

been there Kirsty!
Diesel decided to have a chat to the postie in the driveway one day!!!! Thankfully Diesel wasn't at all aggressive, but loud! He was wagging his tail wanting to play but the postie just thought he wanted to remove a limb!!! Trying to tell the postie not to shout and wave his bag about was useless. I ended up almost grabbing his bag off him and forcing it to the ground. When I did that Diesel came over to sniff the bag. That was all he was interested in!!!!
Postie still worries coming here |

Kirsty at least it was the postman I had the police at the door the other day asking about a mugging outside our house, they banged on the door and me and kiera jumped out our skins needless to say she was very vocal with them, luckily they didn't mind and I told them nothing escapes her ears so maybe she will get signed up as a neighborhood watch dog. me and kiera patrolling the streets herding up the unruly |

Most people think my big boy is the one to watch, but the Beagle is the little brute. She has postie down the street then got distracted by the local bully, a huge cat. Our postie loves Basil and worked well with me when he first came socialising him.
Don't you just love them! _________________ Regards,

Otto's the same - barely notices him.
He gives the odd woof - but then he's usually in the kitchen and the postman doesn't have a set time, so he's not learned to expect him. |

We've got a different problem. The postie needed a signature so while Mike signed Dale slipped out and jumped in the van. Good job he was spotted But dale loves postmen! _________________ Janice and Dale |

Today Steven went for a Mot. "Not him the car".
He took Kaiser with him to his surprise kaiser started growling at the man. What was that all about never done that one before he's always been a friendly dog.
The man had passed him no problems then turned around and started talking to Steven then looked at Kaiser, that's when he started. I told Steven could be two things he has smelt fear off the man or a challenge. OH I Think my wee boy needs lots of training. The pass few months i have seen small changes in him i will iron them out. " With a big iron".

my two don't bother with the postman , however the meter guy came yesterday and I checked he liked dogs and he did then the two of them proceded to try and get him to play with him so they got swiftly put it their cadges whenever people come they have to fight for the most attention and are happy to see everyone. They get mad at kids outside making a racket and bark at them and people coming home late at the weekend but apart from that they are pretty quiet |

My money would be on Bob too. However it is not acceptable to allow Bob to menace the postman . If he refuse to deliver its your own fault.

I can sympathize with anyone who has a dog who barks at the postman...it is the classic scenario....dog barks to warn off the person on the other side of the front door....who attacks the den by forcing foreign objects through the door.........and the person leaves ,then the den is safe.....and this happens 6 days out of 7 so the dog quickly learns that to bark at the postman means he leaves and the den alone and it is safe.
Diesel LOVES to bark at the postman...the ONLY thing which will stop him is his e-collar.....but you must remember to out it on every day and see the postman coming to get the timing right..Murphy however does not even lift his head from the floor while all this is going on
But take them out of the house and the roles are reversed..Murphy is the strong dominant protector outside and Diesel is so chilled out. _________________ John Thomson
