Hi

I know that Scottish law is different to English law and not everything they do down south makes it up here, but I thought I would post this as it interests all dog owners.

There is a petition on the governments website requesting that they reconsider proposals to have dogs on leads at all times. Further details on the proposals and to sign the petition...follow the link

Political Correctness for "A DOGS LIFE".

"Responsible Dog Owners" know when to keep their dogs on the lead!!!!!!!!

Another infringement of Human (DOG) Rights.

I'd read something about this already. Hopefully Scotland has more sense but it still concerns anyone who goes south on holiday.
Things do change. Years ago we gave up on Filey because they made the country park at Filey Brig a no dogs area. It was a pain because we liked the site and it was near Mike's aunt. Then a few years later Scarborough was advertising how dog friendly it was. Lets hope that this phase is also short lived.

I would hate it if I had to walk the dogs on the lead. It is my biggest pleasure to see them foraging about in the woods and running like the wind racing each other. And their biggest pleasure too

I also think it would be difficult to exercise big dogs to the extent they require on a lead - it would take hours every day. I think well exercised dogs are well on the way to becoming or being well behaved dogs - I think there is a link.

Lets hope common sense prevails.

I think it is unfair that responsible dog owners with trained dogs are being categorized with bad dog owners.
When you are a responsible you know when it is safe to let your dog off leash. They also know when and whom to leave their pet with. As much as I love Moli and Mishka I would never leave my granddaughter or other children alone with them for a second. Mad

Had my moan now Very Happy
