Hello Everyone, What should we expect of Mylo and Tara for the first few days is there anything we should watch out for? Mylo is hyper as we all know Laughing Laughing and he doesn't want to leave Tara alone, she has got annoyed a few times and had a growl is this normal? should they sleep separately for the first night or two? Very Happy

Tara will let Milo know if he is annoying her, might be best giving her some space for a night or two, you may find that they want to sleep together once she has settled in.

Hi guys might be worth investing in crates now to let them sleep in the same room but keep them seperate at he same time, also it might help with keeping them seperate whilst you are out of the house just until you are comfortable with them together. Also it will be a comfort for Tara to have somewhere safe to go that is her space at this time whilst she is adjusting,

We have one big crate at the moment do you think it's worth while putting mylo in one and leaving Tara out of it and seeing how that goes or the other way about? Confused

good luck guys - hope you get some sleep tonight.

might be a bit rocky for the first day or so, but you are doing such a good thing... and it will be worth it in the long run. So, just remember that if they wake you up during the night! Wink

(That's similar to what I was telling myself when Leon wasn't well and I was sitting up with him at 3am!)

just remember the first few nights will be the worst, it is SO worth it, just be strong! Have been there ALL night on the sofa (NOT what the books recommend), in a few weeks they will be inseparable and best of friends, you are very lucky

Hope your first night was a success! It takes a wee while for the pack to adjust and then it's like they have always been there. Well done to both of you for helping find a new home for her hello1 love3

Well the first night and morning wasn't too much of a success Tara is growling and showing her teeth to Mylo! will this eventually stop and should I just let them work it out for themself? or should I think they don't get on? Since I know a lot of you have been there? Thanks for the support. Very Happy
