Oh well Star's trip to the vet was good and bad. Good news - It was the young Irish guy who was great with him so no growling or snapping occurred. Bad news - the vet is convinced there is a foreign body in his leg and that he will have to under go surgery to remove it if the medication he gave him yesterday doesn't help Crying or Very sad one of the major problems lie with where it is, there is no excess skin on the leg so they will have a problem removing it and stitching easily.

He has anti inflammatory and anti biotics to see if we can treat it this way but its unlikely Crying or Very sad looks like poor Star will have to get an operation Crying or Very sad

Looks like he has opened up the wound and something has gotten in the Vet seems to think it could be a small stone that has gotten in to it, there is a cut on the bald patch that appeared about 4/6 weeks ago that never really healed. You all know what Star is like, he runs about like a nutter so it could be anything. Anyway fingers crossed that the vet is wrong and the drugs work Rolling Eyes He took a sample from it to see if it was a tumor but he did say it was highly unlikely at his age.

I he has to go back in 2 weeks to see whats to happen.
