Thank you all you lovely people.
Basil was operated on this morning. I have just spoken to the vet. Not only was the gut twisting, but they found a foreign body in his stomach which was removed. They have attached the gut to the wall to hopefully prevent further torsion.
He has pulled through okay. However there are still some concerns to be dealt with. He is still sedated whilst they try to rehydrate him.
If he progresses well I may be able to get him home tomorrow. Still keeping fingers and paws crossed. _________________ Regards,
