Hello All

I am Joe from Irvine Ayrshire and the proud owner of a 4yr old GSD. Ben has similar looks to the GSD on your forums main page.

My son Graeme is the owner of the best looking wee staffie I have ever seen called Blue. He mentioned to me all about the forum and the way he and Blue have been treated and I had to check it out. He was right you all are very lucky to have such a positive forum.

I look forward to visiting you sometime to see the help Blue is getting and possibly bring Ben for re-socialising training as he was bitten by a wee Jack Russell and is a little wary of dogs just now.

Anyway here are a few pics of Ben I hope you like them and Thanks Kendal for getting me to introduce myself..

keep up the good work thanks Joe

Hi Joe and welcome to the forum Smile
Ben is a gorgeous looking boy... great photos.
I have seen Blue a couple of times at classes ,he's lovely and what a colour... very unusual.
I have a collie x and 2 border terriers and love GSD's.. I had one a few years back.. they are a great breed. Smile

Thanks John and Corinne for the comments.

I fully understand John the bias, but after being out with Graeme walking with Blue I can see the benefit of having a wee nutjob like him in the family.

If that is your own GSD he is a gem. Maybe ask for a little assistance in due course with Bens little changes since the wee Jack Russell got him.

Loyalty and devotion is not a devine right it is earned

Hiya Joe - nice to see your boy at last - he is just gorgeous!!!!!!

I'm Jackie (but am called Jack by everyone hence the user name) and am the passionate (some would say obssessively proud Embarassed ) owner of 2 Staffie girls called Ella & Rosie and a little crossed Staffie boy called Sykes. They are the absolute apples of my eye - I ADORE them and have to agree with you, your graeme's Blue is a stunner too!

Hi John

I will defo come up to (whats it called) lol my home town.

It would be a pleasure to allow you work with Ben and assist me to regain his composure.

I an sure you will understand what i mean, when I say when you know your GSD you notice immediately any changes in temperment no matter how small as they somehow communicate it to you.

What a forum I cannot believe how friendly people are and how positive they are.

Do you assess dogs for agility work or is it to late at 4yrs old.

thanks again

joe

A few of the members have tried agility.but I have no personal exprerience of agility....yes we use a tunnel and weave poles for something fun in class but nothing serious.....if the dog is fit and agile then I would suggest 4 is certainly not too old.

Hi Jack

Thanks for your comments.

John mentioned his bias for GSD's and that is exactly me.

If i walked Ben and passed 10 dogs I really wouldnt notice them nor would Ben, but I could spot a shepherd a mile off and sadly some may say would just stare as that breed would float my boat (lol).

However since Graeme sent me blues first photo with blue eyes and wee white sock, I am smitten. I now seem to be able to spot staffies everywhere and not knowing the breed at all can spot small differencies but so far all nice.

I look forward to popping in to see you all.

John

I think what you say re a tunnel etc etc is probably what would suit me fine.

But thats me again running before we walk. I would like to possibly just sit with Ben at one of your classes allowing Ben to feel safe in amongst many dogs again

I love all dogs Joe, some I am more partial too, pretty much the whole Terrier group, Beagles, Spaniels but also Rotties, Dobies,GSD, Newfoundlands (my favourite big dog), Lhasa Apso and now Cockapoos, thanks Janis & Kendal! Oh and Pixels Wink

Truth be told there are very very few I can pass without saying hello BUT with Staffies........well I even scream at Mark to stop the car so I can get out and say hi Embarassed EVEN in the pouring rain! Rolling Eyes Embarassed ME? Obssessed? Whatever gave you THAT idea Laughing Laughing
