Hope it isn't too serious John, I know how inconvenient it can be.

That reminds me, I really should back up my hard drives sometime. Embarassed

This house can't last more than 2 days without there being computer problems!

And it's always either myself or my mum's fault. Never, ever dad's fault! Laughing

I'm back Very Happy

Last night when I got in zone Alarm had picked up a trojan virus and quarantined it, then I told it to reboot and it wouldn't.......I was working out of the office all day so didn't get a chance top look at it until this evening.....managed to boot it in safe mode and did a system restore which seems to have done the trick Very Happy

My sympathies John - but the moral is 'always back up your hard drive'!

The trouble is - you always plan to do it the day after the machine stops working! I know - from practical experience.

Hope you get your machine working properly

Cheers

Mike
