Hi Smile

I’m Laura. My loves are animals (of course), art, drama and the theatre 

Been living with dogs since I was 5 when we got family pet Buster, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who we owned for 8 great years.

Some time later I got my BenJay boy the Border Collie pup. Have a great love in the breed and a lot of respect for those who own them. He introduced me to how great obedience training could be- wish we had had a trainer like John then and the support from forums like this, things may not have ended up the way they did (plus a lot of other factors of course).

I was given Muffin by a friend. She’s the most gentle natured timid dog I’ve ever come across. Janis assured me that I should bring her up to training despite her age, and since taking her advice and going to the Thursday classes it’s like I have a new dog! The first day she was very reserved and unwilling to do anything, but after that she loves it! I take her just because she enoys it Smile She lives with me and Haig (Janis’ son for those who recognize the name:) ) (wonderful pic taken by Kendal)

Latest addition to the family is Amber the Cockapoo. She will be joining puppy classes around about mid to end of March (I think) with my sister Jessica  The family is going to pick her up on 28th Feb, below is her at 4 weeks with her brothers and sisters. Shes the one with her head raised (apricot with white muzzle + chest + socks)

Thanks for reading my essay, i get carried away quite easily Surprised

Never, shes old and dirty! No, i jest my mum and dad love me bringing Muffin over, but i reckon the first time Muffin will meet the pup will probably be the same time you guys do when i bring her and Jess to class because of the jags. Ill wait n see. Or sneak over and let Muffin have a nosy and run away again Very Happy

It'll be interesting to see how Muffin acts to her, as she still really sees the house as her territory, walks round like she owns it whenever i take her round. Saying that shes really not confrontational at all so im 99% if not 100% sure she'll be fine. She may do a Yoza but i doubt it, shell just go in a strop for not getting all the attention. lol. Another thing that will be interesting to see is what happens when Muffin tells the pup off, which i know will happen at some point or another.
