Hi Folks and pups,
Glen and I have been happy to meet you all and were really glad (and relieved) to find you so friendly and encouraging, thank you for that. I've resigned myself to being the comedy turn in the Thursday 8pm class, lol, but hope you will bear with us both and we'll get there eventually. (that was me trying to be positive,) Regardless of how well we do or don't, we are both loving it and for me, that's what having a dog is about, that and meeting other nice folk daft enough to enjoy getting covered in mud and dog slobber.
regards,
Moira and Glen ( the choc lab who doesn't know what stand or down means ) Embarassed

i wouldnt worry. ive been coming on a sunday with alfie for months and there are still some weeks where he wont do anything hes told. as for stand, ive still not managed how to teach him to do it. it usually involves him doing sit/down/roll over/paw then looking confused! last sunday was the first time in his life he did it and im fairly sure it was just luck.

so long as ur having fun, thats what its all about isnt it!

welcome to forums. maybe see u on walk at some point.

Hi Moira & Glen, I'm Jo from 8pm Thurs class (didn't make it last week). I usually come with my friend Izzy.I have Kai (15month GS/Akita cross) and Bailey comes to watch, he's a 4month old Dane. He's going to start puppy class soon. Don't worry - all the dogs have weeks where they are totally dim. When Kai's good he's great but has lots of nights where you would think he'd never been before !! See you both tomorrow. Jo xx

Welcome to the forum Moira.........thanks for taking the time to say 'hello'

Glen will settle down so please don't feel stressed.....if you ask anyone in any class they will tell you that their dog is a nightmare....the key is to relax and enjoy it, after all it is only dog training Smile

john
