Yeek!!! I HATE them! Thanks Kendal, Found our wee green tick hook so am prepared. I have also suffocated the wee b@ggers with vaseline, they just fall off then (eventually), just try not to stand on them...bleurghhhh!
Better dig out the Frontline again too.

I've used discount pet supplies and they're very good. I got the Frontline out last week - so far Ian has only had to deal with a couple - none this year
We get them to lie on their backs and give them a good going over on a regular basis, they think "beastie check" is just a cuddle |

hehe like the 'beastie check'
the only problem we have is checking dhaka for stuff she is a nightmare, trying to cuddle or jump around when you
try to examine her. Moya on the other hand if i bring out the toenail clippers, comes to you and starts pointing her feet, we say she says 'do me, do me' she is the only one ive not nicked tho cause her toenails are light coloured so the others just suffer
with sad looks and really dont like it, but again dhaka only one we have probs with, she is an idiot _________________ lurchers Pixel and Zev and whippet, Fen

Thankful ridgebacks rarely get ticks, their coats are too tight are are made for keeping out ticks and stuff on the african savana _________________ lurchers Pixel and Zev and whippet, Fen

I would like too point out that ticks are not fussy what or who they eat, only a couple off weeks ago i had one happily feeding on the side of my neck,so after you,ve been out check yourself,i find i usually get them where there are sheep in the vicinity.I did ask the doc about using Frontline she did,nt recommend it just insect repellent, they do have a habit of getting under your clothing as well. They also can carry Lyme,s repellent.
