I don't know if you remember my wee schnauzer Rosie.....a great natured dog who unfortunately is getting aggressive with certain strangers in the street. I'm writing this because I'm pretty shaken tonight, while out walking the same guy that she dislikes was across the road and she started growling and pulling to get to him ( she was nowhere near) anyway he threatened to come over and was shouting and swearing that he was going to punch her in the bleeping head. I need to come back and try and sort this out as I don't want her labelled a devil dog, in the meantime is there anything I can do?
ps the guy was suited and with briefcase.

hey,
well that guy wont have helped matters as Rosie will just want to protect you more.
did you stand and try and hold her back or did you try and walk off or did you try and turn back and walk away from the situation.
can you think of anything that has started it. is it just at night or is it during the day as well. _________________ microchiping and grooming www.chipnclip.co.uk

Unfortunately she was on extended lead so I was tying to pull her back to me and walk on forward.
This happens during the day as well. I'm so embarrassed at times because its so out of character and I'm taken by surprise at these antics.
I have a very understanding paper boy that she does this to and she will just go up and sniff him but then backs off and starts growling again. |

I just want to say that my faith in humanity has been restored.
The man that was aggressive towards me and Rosie last night apologised profusely this morning. I got a bit of a fright when I saw him come towards me ( Rosie wasn't there) but he couldn't have been sorrier for his actions. He explained that he had a terrible day at work and we apparently got the brunt of it. I feel better about it because I was actually concerned about walking her around the streets.
Having said all that I still think Rosie is needing to learn some manners. |
